I am participating in this unique fundraiser in celebration of the 500th anniversay of the Lutheran Church. Yes, this is an unusual fundraisng event but should be lots of fun! Not your usual bake sale, raffle, or auction! I am very excited about this event, and I hope that you will support me as I attempt to raise $1,500 for Gethsemane Lutheran Church located in Lakewood, Ohio where I am a member. The money raised will be utilized to coordinate various ministries in our church, and in specific, a young adult ministry for the community.

As described on the home page, I will be rappelling down the 18 floor Double Tree Hotel in downtown Cleveland. Some may call me crazy, but I've always loved a challenge!

This fundraiser could benefit your church as well, so I challenge you to 'go over the edge" for your church by registering to become a rappeller!

I come from a long line of Lutherans - my father was a Lutheran minister for 40+ years until his death in 1993. My oldest son, David, is a Lutheran minister as well, serving Trinity Lutheran Church in Morris Plains, New Jersey. And yes, the good sister in the family, Marcia Kern, married a Lutheran minister - the Rev. Dale B. Kern!

You can also join me at the Landing Party at the base of the rappel on June 24th. There will be games, food and drinks, along with great fellowship, for everyone.  It will be a great time.

So, here's your chance to donate to my fund and push me "over the edge'!

Thank you in advance for your generous support!

Lutherans Over The Edge celebrates the 500th anniversary of the Lutheran Church by providing recognition and fundraising for the Lutheran Churches throughout Greater Cleveland. Lutherans Over The Edge is coordinated by Gethsemane Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lakewood, Ohio, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.
